There was a lot of love when the customers spoke about the 40-year-old cabin their father built (from scratch!) at Shuswap Lake: “It is something special that will always be a part of the family legacy,” they said. They wrote about how they loved to sit on the deck for a drink at 5pm and watch the sun shine on the opposite shore.  The cabin has a lot of character — I can easily see a face there — and I wanted to bring that out. I also love the human elements and signs of life, like the path, the chairs on the deck, and that bright little pinwheel on the stump.
