It’s my son’s birthday on January 19. He would have been 24.
It’s been a year since he died. We held his celebration of life last year on January 19.
I wanted to find an ongoing way to honour his memory. I came across Jack.org, a registered charity formed in 2011. Jack.org is a Canadian youth mental health organization that promotes peer counselling and provides mental health training and literacy. Of course the name struck me: it was named for another lost Jack but no doubt there are many Jacks.
I put up a memorial page and a small fundraising goal. I hope you’ll consider donating. I want to do whatever I can so someone’s child and someone’s parents don’t go through what we did.

I love you and miss you so much, Jack.
