  • Giant’s Sky Condo – Drop 3•

Design work on a series of 24’x17′ theatrical backdrops for a satiric version of a “Jack and the Beanstalk” Panto set in East Van. This is the third backdrop and is all sky with a thin slice of Vancouver seen from a very high viewpoint. I think if this condo existed, it would be somewhere hugely high up over the Ironworker’s bridge, maybe in Vancouver Heights. Vancouver’s clouds (when they aren’t that misty grey rain color) usually bunch up on the horizon with some wispy bits riding the air currents above. The condo is all floor-to-ceiling windows looking outward at the Lion’s gate bridge, the sulfur piles, and an oil freighter. You know – all the things a fortunate 1% of the population might like to look at.
