People go nuts when the cherry blossoms come out in Vancouver. Almost as fast as the blooms burst, Instagram and Facebook fill with photos of fluffy pink and white flowers against blue-grey skies.
The trees are like a celebratory explosion of confetti signaling an end to the endless grey days of winter. It’s the one white abundance that we can count on to have to shovel or at least clear from car windows before we can drive anywhere.
