This is a painting I did in appreciation of where I grew up, which was more or less on these hills.
The Red Bridge was built before the mass production of automobiles; you can tell when driving over it.
Kids used to jump off the top of that bridge into the high river every summer.
Kamloops is full of golden tones, subtle pastels, and quiet beauty that resonates over time.
The Kamloops of my childhood seemed a lot more wintry and neon.
